libmtcp1 software package provides DMTCP library needed for checkpointing a standalone process, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libmtcp1
libmtcp1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libmtcp1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libmtcp1 *
You will get with libmtcp1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
